Narehl
Narehl is the largest jungle region in the world, and covers 2/3 of the Youzem continent. The most fearsome animals can be encountered in this place and it's not something you'd want to do if you do not have enough protection to defend yourself. Many brave souls have wandered into these lands hoping to find lost ruins filled with unknown treasures but never been heard from again. Only the most fearless and skilled warriors, such as the Narehlian Rangers, can survive in the midst of these damp and dark woods, and even they travel in groups. A lone person does not stand a chance against the hunters that haunt this place. Most areas within this jungle are still totally unknown, areas that even large expeditions have not yet managed to discover. These jungles hold many secrets, many treasures and many dangers.
The Port of NarehlThe Port of Narehl, one of the factions of New Horizon, is the largest jungle city in Narehl. A sanctuary to the Narehlions and its tourists, it boosts the finest comfort and luxurious sweep that money could buy. The Port of Narehl is a city literally built around its titanic trees. The buildings in Narehl are built from the roots and intertwined with the bark as it ascents. A hover lift is constantly maintained beside the buildings to facilitate movement up and down the high-rise buildings. At night the city becomes alive with lights that rival the stars in the sky. The nightlife seems never ending as tourists gamble, sing, dance, and basically make merry their night and cash away in a Las Vegas type of setting. The Treetop Housing is where the Narehlions live. While most of the lower-class people live on the lower levels, the high end of the populace live in their wooded sky scrappers overlooking a gorgeous view of the lagoon and the coasts. Note that tourists and visitors are treated with a higher respect along with the high-end populace. The Touristic Plaza is where you find the accumulation of all the hotels, shops and entertainment that caters to the tourist. If there is anything they want, chances are it's all here. Service is so good that should there be something you are unable to find they'd get it for you by the next morning. However, everything has its price. The cost is worth the money though as everything here is both luxurious and branded. The Repair Facilities are run by engineer Wafans from Narehl. These engineers are expert at fixing soft body Wafans. Considering the seriously over-priced tags surrounding this shop, these prices are more than reasonable. Narehlian Rangers OutpostThe Narehlian Rangers Outpost is hidden deep inside the Narehl jungles. It serves both as its base and headquarters. The Rangers are Narehl's very own armed forces. They specialize in covert ops, more precisely jungle warfare and are very adept at tracking down specific targets. The place is built like a fort; a wall between it and its jungle surrounding. Several barracks frame its headquarters where security is absolute. The fort has been said to house over 3000 operatives, but for a base the size of four city blocks, military analysts have speculated that there is more to this place than meets the eye. Vivid JunglesThe last surviving tropical jungle on the planet, it is fiercely protected not only by its zealot environmentalist, heavily enforced laws but also extremely dangerous wildlife. The trees are gigantic, the tallest rising to the height of a kilometre above sea level. It is home not only to several medicinal properties but also one of the most prominent army in the world, the Narehl Rangers. Still despite its majesty, the jungle is teeming with a variety of extremely dangerous wildlife. All of which view explorers as something at the bottom of the food chain. None who doesn't knows these jungles have ever made it out alive. Alien RuinsAn obscure and isolated part of Vivid Jungle where plant life has been altered by the strange glowing green hue inscribed on the walls. The atmosphere around the ruins is different compared to the jungle. It is awfully silent and the light around the place seems to glow a tainted green despite the time of the day. Not every explorer seems to be able to find this place. The ruins are in bad condition, certain parts of walls are broken, and rabble litters the ground as if some past battle was fought here. Yet the inscriptions on the walls and rabbles glow strong adding more eeriness to the atmosphere. This strange green glow seems to have altered the plant life in this place. The vines in this earea are able to sense movement and wrap themselves around a target, conscripting and crushing its prey. The moss is corrosive and it grows almost everywhere within these ruins. It is said that these ruins lead to an underground passage somewhere within Narehl but none have been able to find it. |
