Neo Titania
Neo Titania is two things, the name of the continent where Xanadu is located, and a deserted colony near the large inland sea. Neo Titania is the largest continent on New Horizon, right after Youzem. Its surface area is 25 506 558 km2 which is in fact smaller that the surface area of Verdura, but Neo Titania is still called the second largest continent because Verdura is nothing but an extension of the South Pole. Neo Titania is almost as large as the continent named Africa on Luna (Earth).
XanaduThis major city represents the planets leading specialists in mass production of textiles. Most planetary staples come from Xanadu. Clothing, packaged foods, almost all the vehicles except submarines and space craft. Xanadu is the planets industrial centre. Under the glassy domes of this splendid city dwells the greatest concentration of humans compared to any other city on New Horizon. The people of Xanadu are very conservative and they do not easily accept Wafans, and even less humans with artificial body parts. The citizens of Xanadu go about their daily lives, in their carefully regulated environment, virtually oblivious to the greater happenings in the world. While the Xanadu favours isolationism to the point of near xenophobia, they do boast some of the best learning facilities on the planet, at one point including the Jotunheim Research facilities, which produced not only some of the finest scientific minds in the world, but also much of Xanadu's advanced technology. Xanadu has a dominant colour scheme of white, coupled with greys and pastel blues. Many parks adorn this rather sterile city, and any public artwork goes out of it's way to be 'non-subversive,' as such modern art, or art which conflicts with the 'societal ideals' are often confined to private galleries. The Xanadu Academic Facilities don't hold a candle to the now obsolete Brain Trusts scientific and mathematics facilities, but their political, science, language and history facilities are the envy of most other facilities on the planet. The Military Docks are the location of Xanadu's primarily nautical forces deployment point. From here, Xanadu's navy takes to the sea. Xanadu's navy is no mere thing by any means, but it doesn't even come close in comparison to Aquilons naval fleet, which is the largest in the world. The Residential Section of the city enclose single-family homes of a modest kind to condominiums and apartments that range from great to poor. The Neo Titania Air Force has its headquarters in Xanadu.
Heshmeloch BadlandsThe Heshmeloch Badlands were named as such because of the toll the land takes on its inhabitants. Devastated by a nuclear holocaust and the radiation poisoning, no organic life remains alive here, or at least no organic life remains unchanged... Neo TitaniaNeo Titania is a deserted place, except for the Oracle Sector in the middle of the colony. The entrance is secluded, to say the least, and heavily defended by drones, if one can even find it that is. But in these hallowed, well worn halls lays access to the largest computer the New Horizon civilization has ever given birth to. Those who do penetrate these deep corridors will have to answer to the White Oracle or the mysterious Gray Oracle if they're present. Worse yet, the automated defence system will substitute in their absence, which is less forgiving.
Perianth PeninsulaOff the east coast of Neo Titania, these lands are dark, dank and downright icky. It is home to dozen of creatures not all of which have been recorded in the New Horizon Bestiary in Brain Trust. Though Alien Ruins have been discovered in the past, none has been able to find the ruins ever since, an unexplained phenomenon that has scientists baffled up to this day. A large part of this peninsula is made up of coastal swamp life. With the high concentration of salt content and its variety of dangerous wildlife, a settlement being built here is out of the question. |
