The Port of Narehl
The capital city of the largest tropical jungle on the planet. It is fiercely protected not only by its zealot environmentalist, heavily enforced laws but also extremely dangerous wildlife. The trees are gigantic, the tallest rising to the height of a kilometer above sea level. It is home not only to several medicinal properties but also one of the most prominent army in the world, the Narehl Rangers.

Don Graven
Background Information:
Lucius Graven, the most powerful Trader Don of The Port of Narehl. He is a very powerful and influential Promethean who made his fortune by many shrewd and legally ambiguous business deals which devoured many of his rivals. His current empire is threatened by the lack of raw materials from The Walk of Man, to that end, he's sent his personal squad of investigational enforcers, The unassumingly named Cat's Cradle, to help shake things up.

Colette Hyadin

Appearance:
Colette is a short, pretty Aesir. Her style of dress is usually business casual.
Colette works for Don Graven as his personal secretary and bodyguard. Despite her small stature, she is not to be underestimated. A former Warhead Lieutenant, Colette is trained in hand to hand combat, small arms use, and is quite familiar with the complexities of government paperwork and red tape.
Personality:
Colette has a polite but businesslike disposition, and is more often than not succinct in her mannerisms and less than personable for an extended conversation. She keeps a close eye on anyone visiting or speaking with Don Graven, taking her job very seriously.

Background Information:
Born and raised in Warhead, Colette was an acting Lieutenant in the Spartan division until an unfortunate accident in a skirmish caused several soldiers in her unit to be killed by friendly fire. Though it was not directly her fault, Colette took the blame for the incident for her soldier's sake and was given a dishonorable discharge. She came to the Port of Narehl seeking employment, and Don Graven hired her for a very large salary to handle his complex business' paperwork but primarily to be his personal bodyguard in the years of his failing health.

Yue Liang

Appearance:
Yue Liang is a Medean from the Garden of Zen. She is of an exotic physical beauty, skin lightly patterned with soft green and blue scales moving between those colors depending on temperature, long hair with the same color characteristics, though it is often worn in a neat set of buns. She has two long antennae on her forehead that are often swept back into her long hair. Her eyes are covered for aesthetic reasons. She generally wears silk robes with simple Asian designs when indoors, keeping her hair and antenna rolled/swept in neat buns. Outdoors she wears functional clothing like dresses, jeans, and shirts, and lets her long hair down to the center of her back, letting her antennae move freely. She can most often be seen fencing, or training her wide variety of Earth based birds grown from stock DNA, which she takes great pleasure in taming and training. Yue Liang's DNA was taken from a species of fish, to counteract a vicious disease which ravaged her senses. It left her without eyes, because the fish had none, but restored her.

Yue is an inner circle Medean with a third helix from a rare type of New Horizon deep sea fish. She is blind, but her senses of smell, touch, and hearing are far beyond most land based creatures. Her long antennae, when unfurled allow her to sense movement in a very precise manner, and to some extent predict future movements from living things around her.
Personality:
Yue is soft spoken and kind, and with an ever present small smile that hides a sharp intelligence and shrewdness. She is also known to be a tease, often confusing her guests with riddles or harmless tricks. When speaking to her father, she makes heavy use of sharp wit, their conversations not unlike a fencing match.
Background Information:
Yue Liang is the daughter of the crime lord Don Graven, and a middle class Chinese woman from the Garden of Zen named Xia Liang. She was born blind, deaf, and mute, the only option to give her a normal life was to give her a third DNA helix, making her a Medean. Yue's mother made great personal sacrifices to make Yue a higher class Medean of the inner circle, becoming the concubine of a high ranking official in the Zen Government. Graven was unaware that he had a daughter until Yue was about 10 years old. He came to visit his estranged daughter shortly after, but Yue hated him from the moment she laid eyes on him, despising his lifestyle and means of income. Her mother who was already sick from a native silicone based disease for a few years died shortly after the visit. Yue has suspected foul play, but has no proof. She was given no choice by the government of Zen but to go live with her father, as those are not full blooded are only allowed visitation periods in Zen of 5-6 weeks at a time several times a year, and not full citizenship.
Yue has chosen to keep her mother's name, and currently lives in the Port of Narehl with her father, Don Graven as he has manipulated local laws to keep custody of Yue far past the legal age limit. Their relationship is adversarial, and Yue lives in a larger separate portion of Graven's expansive mansion.

Ayvn Cateye

Background Information:
Ayvn Cateye is the leader of the infamous mercenary squad known as the Cat's Cradle. Her team consists of four women beside herself, namely the lightning-fast and trigger-happy Selene Luxor, the unyielding and rigid killer-soldier Katie Smutniak, the agile and crazy serial-killer Maggie Quvera and unpredictable but sharp guardian Alizee Astraea. Ayvn's left eye is that of a cat, and no one know why, only that she was born like that. Some people think she might be a Medean, but those are only rumors since everything else indicates that she's Olympian Human. However, her left eye works in the same way as a cat's eye, making her able to see much better in the dark.
Where she came from is a mystery, only that she finishes whatever job she starts, no matter the consequences. She was hired by Graven for one simple job, for an exorbitant fee, years ago. Ever since, her enormous fees, which would ruin a less wealthy man, have kept this cunning, manipulative and ruthless leader in charge of his personal squad.

Selene Luxor

Background Information:
Selene started her life as a member of a smalltime group of thugs, whimsically called 'The Lollipop Gang' for their childish looks. Living in the undercity of The Port of Narehl, deep beneath the water filled streets, she learned to survive on her own with an absolutely deadly quick draw. All to feed her fellow gang members, what she called her 'kids'. Once, on her sixteenth birthday, she managed to kill over twenty five of Don Graven's guards trying to break back out of a food warehouse she'd raided. Graven agreed to let her live, and fed, clothed and educated her 'kids', in exchange for her employment doing what she did best, killing people. She saw the wisdom in this.
Katie Smutniak

Background Information:
Katie was born in an almost all military Crèche. It was a foregone conclusion that Katie would enter the military. However, surprising her family and mentor, she left Xanadu to seek her fortune as a mercenary, claiming she "wished to see interesting new people, and kill them all for fun and profit". Her deadly efficiency and uncanny ability to enter and dominate a firefight with here wily dodging and shooting has earned her the nickname 'The Maniac Merc'.
Maggie Quvera

Background Information:
Though horribly lanky in appearance, Quvera is as nimble as an acrobat, and graceful as a dancer. Originally hailing from the Garden of Zen, she's the only member of the 'Cat's Cradle' who could be said to be 'going home'. However, considering she was once wanted for murder before Don Graven's money made the charges disappear, it's highly doubtful it would be a happy homecoming. Cold, and swift, her temper is quite formidable.
Alizee Astraea

Body: 9 Power: 13 Resistance: 10 (12-2) Speed: 9 Accuracy: 10 (9+1) Evasion: 10 (9+1)
Background Information:
Alizee began her life as one of dozens of children in an illegal cloning and genetic enhancement program designed to create a breed of superior humans. The youngest of over forty children, she alone did not fight back with her creators when their complex was raided by Narehlian Rangers, making her the shrewdest of her batch, even though it cost her one arm. Don Graven saw potential in her, and used his influence to formally adopt her into his household, making of her an apprentice, and a deadly guard dog.

Lysekoid
Appearance:
Lysekoid is an average-sized Vanir Wafan, who is stalwart built, clad in plate armor with unique flaring thermo heatsink plates attached to his back. His armor is specially designed for these heatsink plates (thermal ventilation orifices), which in combat can be used to release flames, or as massive accelerators to close in the distance between him and his opponent. Lysekoid wears a cape, most of the time, and he wields a large two-bladed sword.
Personality:
Lysekoid is a hero character set in the New Horizon campaign setting. He adheres to a strict moral code, often attributed to the Trapper Town values. Lysekoid follows the law very strictly hoping that his commitment to operating within the law will be an example for many generations of heroes in the future. He has never killed another human or Wafan and has vowed never to do so.
Lysekoid is often perceived as lonely, competent, quite notorious and more than a little pompous.
Lysekoid is not the fastest Wafan around, but he is very resilient and, while being considerably armored, he moves well in a rough-and-tumble fight. Lysekoid has an effective self-repair system to back him up for long engagements. His weapon of choice is a two-bladed sword which he handles as any weapons master. Lysekoid is a very good fighter and as an opponent he shouldn't be taken lightly in a fight.

Dyani Savant
Background Information:
Dyani is Hubarts 'offspring', a Wafan designed and created by her father to be more in touch with the world of New Horizon than other Wafans. A student of nature, and the planetary environment, and an excellent path finder as well as a formidable fighter in her own right.
Height: 5'8", Gender: Female, Weapon: Armor Piercing Bow, Electrical Powers.
