The Heroes of New Horizon
Heroes of New Horizon are humans and wafans who have in one way or another contributed considerably at keeping civilians out of harm's way. Heroes are good guys who despite the dangers involved jump in to help others in need. Heroes are those who sacrifice themselves in order to help or save another. Some people are born heroes, some just happen to become heroes, but what they all have in common is the deep need of helping those who cannot help themselves. The most known heroes of New Horizon are the Animus Hunters.

Hubart Savant
Background Information:
Hubart is brilliant by any standards one might care to place against him. He's dabbled in all areas of science, but excels in Wafan design as well as weapons and armor engineering, and has often been likened to a Blacksmith. In his youth, he was little more than a stuck up aristocrat of Avalon, but when he was foolish enough to run away from home against his Creators wishes to join the army fighting in the Core Stealer war, he was forced to grow up much earlier than he ordinarily would have needed to.
Now that he's a war veteran, older and more seasoned, Hubart is a wise leader, and lends his technical and military insight to Arbiter Titania, even though he holds no formal office. Much to his chagrin, he finds his own daughter, Dyani, rebelling against him, much as he did his own father. But despite all this, his disposition is so down to earth, most people find him unnerving at times.
As a fighter, Hubart is just about top notch, but no match for Selaya with ner new powers, and certainly no match for an entire army. In battle, Hubart is a fearsome foe who can create virtual reality constructs in real space to hinder his foes, and provide himself with a decisive tactical advantage.
Height: 6'2", Gender: Male, Weapon: Wind Elemental Powers, Gigantic Axe.

Lysekoid
Appearance:
Lysekoid is an average-sized Vanir Wafan, who is stalwart built, clad in plate armor with unique flaring thermo heatsink plates attached to his back. His armor is specially designed for these heatsink plates (thermal ventilation orifices), which in combat can be used to release flames, or as massive accelerators to close in the distance between him and his opponent. Lysekoid wears a cape, most of the time, and he wields a large two-bladed sword.
Personality:
Lysekoid is a hero character set in the New Horizon campaign setting. He adheres to a strict moral code, often attributed to the Trapper Town values. Lysekoid follows the law very strictly hoping that his commitment to operating within the law will be an example for many generations of heroes in the future. He has never killed another human or Wafan and has vowed never to do so.
Lysekoid is often perceived as lonely, competent, quite notorious and more than a little pompous.
Lysekoid is not the fastest Wafan around, but he is very resilient and, while being considerably armored, he moves well in a rough-and-tumble fight. Lysekoid has an effective self-repair system to back him up for long engagements. His weapon of choice is a two-bladed sword which he handles as any weapons master. Lysekoid is a very good fighter and as an opponent he shouldn't be taken lightly in a fight.

Thread
Appearance:
Thread is an Olympian human, of slight build. He's missing his left arm and left eye. His left eye is always closed, and healed shut, with a nasty scar. He wears a loose fitting plain shirt, with an ornate black vest, sensible trousers, a belt buckle that looks like a miner's pick set over a circle, trousers with triangular stitching along the outside seams, and kickass boots and an impressive looking glove. Thread wears a bandana around his neck. He has short stylish haircut, clean shaven face and looks to be around thirty years of age. Thread carries an incredibly gnarly handmade high tech six shot revolver named Excalibur. It loads as slow as any six-shooter, but is in fact a .45 caliber railgun, which allows him to stand toe to toe in a one on one firefight with pretty much anything that can bleed.
Background Information:
Thread was born as James West, and he was the fifth generation of gunslingers and lawmen produced by his family. His reputation for never missing a target was well earned.
Escorting Hubart Savant through the Cultural Revival region, his quick thinking managed to save the venerable professors daughter, Dyani, from a group of bandits called The Cunning Claw. Refusing to allow Hubart to place himself in danger, he took off alone armed only with a pair of six shooters. Rescuing her and many other beautiful young captives from the Cunning Claws lair, James killed twelve bandits with twelve bullets and their leader armed only with his knife.

Losing both his arm and his left eye Thread released the girls just before fainting. He was not expected to survive but miraculously his rescuers managed to stabilize him. For his valiant effort, saving half a dozen women from the slave trade nearly at the cost of his own life, he was awarded the newly created title of 'High Protector', and given a Native American name by the grateful Iron Mustang Tribe, The Thread That Binds, or simply 'Thread' for short.
